Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty, commonly known as eyelid surgery, is a cosmetic and functional procedure designed to improve the appearance of the upper and/or lower eyelids. It can address excess skin, fatty deposits, and weakened tissues that may cause the eyelids to appear heavy, puffy, or tired. With age, the skin around the eyes naturally loses elasticity, sometimes resulting in drooping eyelids or under-eye bags. Blepharoplasty can help create a more refreshed, youthful, and naturally balanced appearance.

During the procedure, carefully planned incisions are made within the natural creases of the eyelids, allowing excess skin and fat to be removed or repositioned while preserving the natural structure of the eye area. In some cases, the procedure may also improve vision when excess upper-eyelid skin obstructs the visual field.

The treatment is customized according to the patient's facial features, skin condition, and individual goals. Proper assessment and surgical planning are essential for achieving natural-looking results. Recovery generally involves temporary swelling and bruising, which gradually improves with appropriate aftercare.
